LA- Hotels

My family and I will be visiting L.A. in the near future. We are considering many hotels. Do any of you have suggestions/knowledge regarding these hotels- Wyndham Bel Age, le Parc Suites Hotel, Luxe Summit Hotel Bel Air, or Hotel Sofitel? Any comments are appreciated. Thanks!

The Sofitel is across the street from the Beverly Center, a big shopping complex. It is a nice hotel, but I live in LA so have not stayed there. Le Parc is on a residential street. It is not far from the Beverly Center either and is in West Hollywood. Many of my friends have stayed at Le Parc when they come to LA on business. The Bel Age is up near Sunset Blvd. in West Hollywood. It is also in a nice area and is a nice hotel and many of our business associates stay here when they come to LA. Hope this helps a little.

I've been inside Le Parc many times and the rooms are little suites with living room and kitchens. There is a small pool on the roof which is only 3 stories tall. The Hotel Bel Air is a beautiful hotel, but I'm sure very pricey. It's not really near anything else, but if you want the isolation and can afford it, it would be a really nice place to stay. The Bel Age is a good location too up near Sunset Blvd. with lots of restaurants nearby. Sofitel is also surrounded by lots of restaurants and shopping. I don't think you could go wrong with any of them. They are all "upscale" places.

The best value in the area is usually the Best Western Sunset Plaza. If the Bel Age or the Sofitel are available at slightly higher prices, they would be a good choice. If you have a car, check into parking prices as well.
