Need Hotel for 5 people in/near LA

We are five people who are in need of two adjoining rooms for a 4 night stay in LA. Rather than get two separate rooms, are there any hotels that have a suite with two rooms? I figure it will be cheaper this way.

There's a doubletree suites in santa monica. There may also be a Doubltree in LA. Check tripadvisor.com for more info.

I'd go for 2 rooms so as to have 2 bathrooms. 5 people and one bathroom would be a little on the cramped side. Look into Holiday Inn Express hotels (altho you did not say what area you are visiting). There are no totally inexpensive hotels in the LA area.

I am not looking for a cheap hotel...just not insanely expensive. I would like to spend around $700 for the two rooms or two bedroom suite. We want to stay in a nice location with easy access to tourist sites.

Tourist sites in the LA area are spread over a vast area. If you prefer the beach I'd suggestthe Manhattan/Hermosa/Redondo Beach area. Santa Monica, Marina del Rey are also good choices, but none of these places are near tourist sites (except for the beach, which is a tourist attraction). No matter where you stay you will spend a considerable amount of time in your car. I know this is not much help, but unless we know where you want to be and what you want to see it is hard to recommend places.
