LA Beaches - Calm Water?
Last year my kids wouldn't go in the water, the waves were so big. Frankly I didn't want them to.
We're staying north of LA (Calabasas area). My daughter is excited about returning but wonders if we can "turn off the waves" this time.
Anyone know of Malibu area beaches with calm water and small waves? Or perhaps one of you has God-like powers and could actually grant her wish sometime next week?? Orange County is out. Thanks all.

Agree that Carpinteria is a great spot for families. Just take the 101 straight north from Calabasas. Exit Casitas Pass, turn left, then right after the bank and left onto Linden.
Should take less than an hour. The Spot Hamburger Stand is walking distance from the beach.

Rita,
Paradise Cove is S. of the Kanan-Dume Rd on PCH (Pacific Coast Highway). I believe there's an exit for it. The exact address is: 28128 W. PCH. Many beach movies were filmed there: Gidget and a few others. You can be assured there will be an exorbitant parking fee.
I don't know about street parking.
