KNOXVILLE

Looking for a good place to eat on a Saturday night downtown. Staing at the Marriott on High Street. Italian, steak or fish. Either choice works. thanks !!

Do you mean the Marriott on Hill Avenue close to the river? I don't see a High Street anywhere.

It would help if you gave your budget. I haven't eaten downtown in awhile, but some well known places are Regas (one of the priciest options), Riverside Tavern or Calhoun's. Calhoun's is more casual; if you're staying at Volunteer Landing, Calhoun's and Riverside Tavern will be very close. Chesapeake's has seafood; it's a little further from your hotel. Hopefully that will at least get you started.

From what I remember, I enjoyed the Calhoun's downtown by the river, and then enjoyed the river walk area after dinner.

We like the Market Square area of downtown. Tomato Head 12 Market Square Mall, Knoxville, TN 37902, Located Downtown in Market Square, 865-637-4067, A long time local favorite, the Tomato Head is a dining establishment where you can enjoy specialty pizzas, sandwiches, calzones, pitas, and huge salads daily for lunch and dinner.

Don't know your budget. But
I would enjoy down by the river. I suggest Calhoun's for BBQ or Jack's Steak House 501 Church Street, Knoxville, TN 37902, 865-523-2300, Full service steakhouse that serves a tasty fare of steaks, chops, and chicken complete with oven roasted red skin potatoes and warm baked bread with sweet cream butter. They are open daily for lunch and dinner.
