Kilauea Lighthouse restoration project

Those of you who love Kauai's Kilauea Lighthouse, might want to participate in the restoration project for this wonderful wildlife refuge. They need $1.5 million...

You can help by donating $$ -- and get a brick (to be installed at the lighthouse) with your name and message engraved. For details:

A favorite place of ours. Great photo ops here also! The first time I was there I thought people had littered lots and lots and lots and lots of tissues!!!!!!!! Then, I put my glasses on.

iceeu2: tooooooooo funny!

For those who've not visited Kilauea Lighthouse yet, it is -- first and foremost -- a refuge for seabirds who traverse the Pacific. And these magnificent critters drop their white doo-doo all over the place...resulting in small white doo-doo "splats" on walkways, fence rails, plantings, and rooftops.

Ahhhhhhhhh, nature! 8-)

Years ago when they were raising money to restore parts of Pike Place Market in Seattle, they sold bricks used to pave the floor. Somewhere in that place is a brick that says "IAMQ".
