Key West in June

Hi everyone.

We will be going down to key west for only 2 days/1 night, driving in from Miami for a couple of days of diving.
So we are going to stay at either the Wydham Reach, or the Wyndham Casa Marina. Everyone sees the sunsets in Mallory Square--but how many people watch the beautiful sunrises???
So I have been doing my homework and definity going to El Siboney, and maybe Meson de Pepe for Cuban food.
For fresh fish either The Half Shell Raw Bar, Catch, or BO's.
Don't care for formal dining in the Keys.
But one question that I do have is--has anyone heard of any quaint cuban cafeterias for breakfast. I love cafe con leche with tostada---translation--cuban coffee version of cafe latte, and cuban toast. Everything else is available through the forums, except this little piece of information

Formal dining in the keys is an oxymoron.

Expensive yes, formal no.

The sunrises are beautiful.

Last we were in Key West the Catch Cafe had closed. For a Cuban breakfast people swear by 5 Brothers Grocery or M&M.

When in town, I always hit the Paradise Cafe, 1000 Eaton, at breakfast. Cafe con Leche, Cuban toast and the KW Citizen gets me jump-started in the morning.

BTW-- where are the M&M and KW Citizen located, and of all the ones mentioned, which is closest to Wyndham resorts--east coast Key West.....

Well folks, I regret to inform you that I will not be able to try El Siboney because they will be closed the entire month of June. Guess I will have to go to Meson de Pepe or anything else that looks interesting.....

The Key West Citizen is the morning daily paper. I'm a newspaper junkie, and have to have my morning fix with my caffeine....

Wow... I just posted my questions on Key West and then I noticed this thread. I'll be there in August so hopefully these bits of advice still apply. Even though it is a different thread, I still say thanks! =)
