Ke Iki BBeach Bungalows for a Wedding?
Does anyone know further information about having a wedding here? How far in advance you need to book (for about 5-6 bungalows) and anything that is good to know about having a wedding here? I'm planning from San Diego, so I would love to know more! I've heard rave reviews about this place on here (plus I watched the movie "The Big Bounce" just to get a glimpse of the place in action so to speak), and any info or anything would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Here's the link to wedding info -

There's an 800 number to call to book bungalows. I'd call as soon as possible if you are trying to book 1/2 their accomodations.

Sorry! Don't know what else to suggest. We were married on Oahu at Paradise Cove, I looked to stay part of our honeymoon at Ke-Iki but was already booked 6mos out for our July timeframe, so if your heart is set on there, I suggest contacting them about how far in advance to reserve(as they seem to be popular) and maybe they have other brides you could contact for references.

Aloha iceant,
Congrats!
I've stayed here and have a pretty good idea of the layout and all...
I'd have to ask what king of wedding your're looking to have. Is it barefoot casual? or more formal? How many people? Wedding and reception at KIBB? What time of year?

Thanks! We want something very small, barefoot and casual - we plan on having a large party here in California. I was counting and we'll probably have about 20ish guests. I would like to have the wedding and reception at the KIBB - I was curious how the food was? We were thinking perhaps October/Nov. I spefically wanted something on the North Shore because my boyfriend and our officiant, which is also one of his best friends - are big surfers and have not been to Hawaii. I have read that the waves are huge during the winter, so I'm not sure how big they'll really be by that time. Either way, I would love to have a spot right on the beach and fairly secluded. From all that I've read, it sounds perfect! I really hope it works out.

Aloha o,
Ke Iki Beach should be a perfect spot for your wedding. It is a VERY barefoot casual... relaxed atmosphere. Hammocks are everywhere.
Greg and Annie will handle the food... they are the caretakers and Annie did a huge party while we were there. I can't comment on the food... we weren't part of the party, but it looked like everyone was having a great time.
They set the tables beachfront in the grassy area right in front of the bungalows. It's all pretty simple... It's not a real spacious area as the beach comes right up... it might be about 20-30 feet of grass from the door of the bungalows to the sand. I'm sure they will accommodate whatever you desire, and Greg or Annie can give you much more detailed food info.
The swells should be really picking up in Oct and full force in late November. We went the week after Thanksgiving a few years back and watched the Triple Crown of Surfing Championship just down the beach at Sunset.
The surf will be LOUD... I love it, but some might have a hard time with it as the units are so close to the surf.
You really must get moving if you're thinking next Oct. / Nov... especially if you are booking at the same time as the Triple Crown.
Sounds awesome. Congratulations!
