Kauai Wai Ohai Marriott

I have heard this is a brand new hotel next to the older Kahaui Marriott.

Does anyone have and information on this hotel? I was thinking of staying in December.

Thanks

Then they put it up pretty quickly, Kristy. I stayed at the Marriott less than four months ago; nothin happening then.

Maybe it's the new time-share resort Marriott's building in Poipu. If so, it's probably a year or two out.

Kristy, I believe you're talking about the old Waiohai Hotel in Poipu.............it was a gorgeous place, damaged by Iniki back in the early 90's....they've just settled their insurance problems in the last couple of years, and I believe Marriott has now renovated it into timeshares. It's the first hotel I ever stayed in on Kauai, so I'm hoping I can stay there again sometime!

WE WERE JUST IN POIPU, AT THE EMBASSY RESORT NEXT TOTHE HYATT. THE MARRIOTT YOU SPEAK OF MUST BE THE TIMESHARE WHICH AS OF EASTER, 2002 HAD A WAYS TO GO. THE EMBASSY IS A LOVELY TIMESHARE PLACE THAT YOU MAY BE ABLE TO GET RESERVATIONS. IT IS WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE OF THE ISLANDS BEST RESORT, THE HYATT IF YOU WISH A RESORT EXPERIENCE

Thanks everyone for the information. My Dad told me that Marriott reservations said it was a new Marriott, interesting... on a different note, we are considering the existing Marriott for a surprise for my Mom's 60th B-day. Is this a nice property for a special trip?

Thanks
