We stayed there last summer. Found it to be very nice. Not as nice as the Hyatt for sure, but for the $$ you could do worse. I read alot of negative reviews about the garden wing which we had booked. We were upgraded to Ocean front, so don't know if they were right. From what we could see, the garden wing didn't look all that bad.
Can't beat the location. Our room was just yards away from the beach. in fact couldnt keep the lani door open at night cause the sound of surf was so loud.

My stay at the Sheraton in Poipu was one of the most disappointing travel experiences in all my many trips to the various islands of Hawaii. My deluxe oceanfront room was dull and boring. The only way to get a view of the ocean was to stand up, or sit out on the small patio. Both pools are small. The beach pool was crowded with kids; we liked the garden pool better. Ate one dinner and one breakfast at the hotel- both poor. The beach was excellent, but is accessible without staying at this hotel, which is badly in need of an update. We paid twice what we normally pay for a 2 bedroom condo. It was supposed to be a "special treat" splurge. Definitely not worth the $$$.
