Well I had forgotten about Fodor's and I just returned from Kauai last weekend and needed a Kauai fix LOL -- I normally use another forum but was so glad to re-find this one. Funny but I notice some familiar names on this forum also.

Well I had one of the best trips ever to Kauai with my daughter, one that I will cherish forever. We own a timeshare at the Point at Poipu but I chose to stay in a condo even closer to Poipu beach for the two of us. It was fantastic and highly recommend it for others. The view was to die for and the condo had beautiful furnishings and the best kitchen I have ever been in! I rented through Parrish, which was great because you can chose the unit you want, after much deliberation I chose unit 833 which was a premier condo - here is their website: http://www.parrishkauai.com/kauai-condos/NK833.html

also, here are some pictures from our trip (part are from 2 days we spent on Oahu) but the rest on Kauai, our real love. It's great to find another forum for Kauai. Made my day.

Thanks for the Kauai photo 'fix'. We've gone yearly but had to skip this winter.... still 6 months to wait before we return!?! The beach at Poipu in your photos doesn't look any different IMHO, but I was just reading about its erosion problems in the Garden Island online.

Kukui'ula shopping center was just a mess of dirt and black plastic last visit. Avoided that whole end. So I'm glad to see the updates and that the reincarnated Koa Kea is FINALLY finished. What was your opinion of the hotel?

Ah, roosters, turtles, monk seals, feral cats, geckos and 'speed hump' signs... must be Kauai!
