Kauai budget accomodation

Aloha,
Me and my gf are going totally unexpected (thus unplanned) to Kauai Hawaii on march 16 for 6 nights.
Can anybody give me some recommendations for budget places (less 100us) preferably not too busy and touristy. I`ve been googling the previous postings and main websites people recommend there but wasn`t very lucky...
All `Not too miss things` and/or off the beaten track secrets also more than welcome.
Thanks a lot and enjoy your travels all..
Stieve

You might also look at North Country Farms...it is a little more expensive at 130.00 a night, but looks pretty neat...Ed

Check out kauaiholidays .com
Great place at Sealodge in Princeville for under $100/nt. Rents direct from the owner.

I think condo's usually require you to check in on a Saturday....but check kauaivacationrentals.com, and look at www.kauaisandshotel.com

The best place I've ever stayed on Kauai happens to be the least expensive.
I can't seem to post links on this forum, but the website is:
www.kauai-cottages.com
There are two comfortable cottages in a lush garden setting about 10 minutes from the ocean...up the hill behind Kapa'a. There is a pool on the property, cable TV, and lovely artwork by local artists. It was a great home base for exploring the island in all directions. The friendly and helpful owner lives in another house on the property. She'll leave you little surprises like flowers in the soap dish and fruit carved like a boat in the refrigerator.
