Kaanapali Beach Resort

This is the final of 3 possible choices for my September HM to Maui. Does anyone have any reviews or input on this resort?

Thanks!

After much research and reading many reviews. I believe that we have decided to stay at the Kaanapali Beach Hotel. It's no Four Seasons but it will do just fine as a home base for out honeymoon on Maui. Thank you all for you input on my recent posts.

The KBH is a great place! Rooms are basic/average hotel rooms, nothing special. It sounds like your expectations are based on reality, so you will be fine. Lovely grounds dotted with palms and nice lawns to relax on. The best part about this place is the location on the beach. IMO it is on the best spot on Kaanapali Beach.

ajaq,

Hmmm...seems to me I do remember spending two terrible weeks at that dump on Kaua'i. Yes, it was probably me. Did you end up staying there? Maui huh? Hmmmm......
Have a great trip and congrats on your upcoming nuptials.

Yes you did direct me to that aweful place and I'm hoping that it's as bad as you say it is : )

I haven't gone yet as it's part of the honeymoon...5 days on Kauai, 5 on Maui and 3 on BI.

Thanks for your well wishes!

Ajaq,
Enjoy Rudy Aquino and his band that plays every night in the back of the hotel. On a nice evening having a cocktail and listening to him is making me jealous.

you absolutely made the best choice. We are returning to KBH in April for the 3rd time. That says a lot...we wouldn't think of staying anywhere else!! The hotel is clean, nice grassy areas just to stretch out (most of the other resorts have not natural element to the grounds...just giant pool and slides). Their service is impeccable!! Love the nightly hula show, and they offer great hawaiian activities (hula lessons, lei making, lau printing). I think you made an awesome choice. Enjoy your trip...when are you gonna be there?

Early September. I'm so excited...we now have all lodging booked on all 3 islands as well as our flights and car rentals. We need to only book our "big activities" (Helicoptor Tour on Kauai, Luau on Maui) and we're done! This board has been so helpful!
