JFK Airport to Michaelangelo Hotel

I will be staying at the Michaelangelo Hotel in January and I'd like to know the best way to get from JFK airport to the Michaelangelo Hotel. Thanks.

By best, I mean, a cab, subway, or train. I will be taking the cab. Do you have any idea what the costs will be? Thanks.

Cab is most convenient and fastest - unless there's an accident or really bad weather. It will cost $45 flat fee plus tip and toll for a total of about $60 - for up to 4 people and reasonable luggage.

If you want the cheapest go for Air Train and subway - a total of $7 I think - but this requires you dealing with luggage on public transport including long passageways and stairs - as well as making you way somehow from the subway to the hotel.

An intermediate option is a shuttle (either to the hotel - which can take forever since it stops at numerous hotels) or a shuttle to one of the main stations - from where you will need to take a cab or subway or ? to your hotel.

Check the airport web site for more details.

www.hopstop.com

Gives you point A to point B directions within the 5 boroughs.

How about a car service, which is less expensive than a cab and you can pay with credit card (if you'd like)?

Reserve on-line:

www.carmellimo.com

Be sure to print the coupon (I paid $36 excluding tip & toll for JFK to Manhattan on Monday, $48 total).

I wouldn't suggest public transportation unless you have a lot of time to waste and very little luggage.

Car service with a coupon. Cheaper than a cab and usually better. And they take credit cards, too.
