Ithaca suggestions
we're heading to ithaca this weekend - and thankfully, the weather is supposed to be gorgeous. anyway, we've never been there before and so would love suggestions for things to do.
we're planning to start our day at the farmers market, but i'd love some suggestions as to great vendors (particularly the legit farmers) etc.
would also love suggestions for places to eat while we're there. we'll get our coffee at gimme coffee, but want somewhere to have lunch and dinner. i'm travelling with a vegetarian, so of course moosewood has been recommended, but we've also heard mixed reviews of it.
would like to do something outdoors to. prefereably an easy(ish) hike, and one where we'll see waterfalls, or some sort of watering hole. buttermilk falls has been recommended to us, but don't know if you all have any other suggestions.

It's been too long since I've been in Ithaca to offer suggestions for restaurants, but there are many, many beautiful parks with gorgeous waterfalls in the area. Buttermilk Falls would be a good choice, as would any number of other parks depending on your preferences for length and ease of hike. You can also go see Taughannock Falls - spectacular, and as I recall, easily reached on foot just minutes from a parking area. The following site might be useful:

Just click on a park's name to get more information. Hope that helps!
