No. Smoking policy is very similar to CA's. Are you from NY GinnyG?

You might be allowed to smoke in patio seating areas, but I wouldn't recommend it if others are in the vicinity. Best also not to smoke in crowded touristy areas...or along crowded beachpaths. I'm a smoker also so I can sympathize. But I've also seen my share of butts left at beaches, trails and roadsides so please be mindful.

I just miss being in a bar when it's ok to smoke . the rest of it I'm getting used to. I have a codo @ the aston papakea till the 25th of may, Is it ok to smoke on the lanai of our room?

We stayed at the Hyatt and I smoked on the lanai in our room. The room was non-smoking. I also smoked on the Boardwalk and at the pool. None of the restaurants allowed smoking at all, even at the bars. There was only one bar at the Hyatt you could smoke in and it was only open from 5:00 - 9:30pm. Of course the beach is smoking also. And I always put my butts in the trash.

The no smoking law has been in effect for about three months on Maui. Patio areas which are part of the restaurant may not be used for smoking.
According to the Maui News there hve been few complaints from owners or customers.

I'm headed to Honolulu and would guess it's the same as Maui?. How much are the cigarettes in Hawaii-We are paying $7.50 in NYC!!!!
