The Florida version of Pirates of the Caribbean will never match the awesomeness of the California version.
The DL version is 3 to 4 times as long as the WDW version.
Both now sport "movie" tie-ins, and they do share similar scenes, but DL has more, for sure.

I correct my previous post. I thought the modifications made to the ride at Disney World now matches the ride to DisneyLand, but checking the comparison of all the facts on Wikpeida, I see that the Disney World version actually has 3 more animatronic figures than the DisneyLand version. But the DisneyLand one is 16 and a half minutes long as compared to 8 and a half minutes long -- so it is slightly less than twice as long (but certainly not "3 to 4 times" as long).

Ok, so I exaggerated a bit -- but after riding the WDW version for years and years, getting on the DL version for the first time a few years back...well, it felt longer!
Anywho....getting back on track -- I still feel like Disneyland is worth the trip to those that love all things Disney...

It's funny that I honestly don't remember a difference between the two, but the Pirates in Disneyland Paris -- now that was neat -- pretty much the same, but of course everyone was yelling in French! And the Haunted Mansion exterior in France was totally different -- looking like the Psycho house --duh, of course -- the US versions would just look like a typical local building to most Parisians!
