Universal or Disneyworld

Going to Orlando in July (yes we know it will be very hot and sticky). Two adults and a 7 year-old boy. Would he have more fun at Disneyworld or Universal - either one we will stay at hotel on site. Give me some ideas. . . .please

I actually just did both parks with my daughter in March. I have to say, nothing beats Disney. Universals is great but we finished the park in a few hours.

For a 7 yr old, I would say Disneyworld. Will you have time for more than one park? Depending on what he likes, MGM or Animal Kingdon would be fun along w/magic Kingdom. My kids like Universal and Islands of Adventure now that they are 11 and 13, but they stilllike Disney alot- and Disney was definitely their favorite at age 7 (he won't be able to get on most rides at Islnds of Advneture anyway, too small and the rides are wild). You can do Universal Studios in one full day and evening. Disney gives you more options at that age.

Thank you so much for your respones - we will definitely do Disney! We were going to the All Star Sports hotel but it sounds like it will be filled with wild teenagers and that I don't want! What reasonable on site Disney Hotel would you recommend?

Well, it's July, the schools are out, and Disney will be packed with families so yes, you will probably run into a teenager or two.

Unless Pop Warner or Grad Night is going on, I think you are safe.

Call the hotel and ask them if they have any big groups on site that week.

I think you and your family would enjoy Disney much more than Universal.
