Inns in La Conner, Washington

We are planning an anniversary get-away to La Conner in March. We are looking to stay at the Wild Iris Inn (www.wildiris.com) or La Conner Country Inn (www.laconnerlodging.com). Any comments about these two inns regarding location, comfort/decor & service?

Many thanks!

Those who post on TripAdvisor, clearly prefer Wild Iris:

Oh, definitely the Wild Iris of those two if you prefer an inn--the Country Inn, while nice, is more of a motel style place.

Thanks for your replies! TA reviews on both inns were very useful. I have discounted the Country Inn for this trip.

I am now considering La Conner Channel Lodge (www.laconnerlodging.com) as an option. It is located on N. First Street where the shops & restaurants are right outside the door. It seems more conveniently placed than the Wild Iris for our short stay ... at least on a map!

Also, I am checking out restaurants for our anniversary dinner. There are favourable reviews on TA for Seeds and Kerstin's. Are you able to advise me on these choices or give me other suggestions?

You're going to be there for the tulips! Or at least the daffodils! It's amazing
