We stayed there while visiting St. Michael's last year for one night and thoroughly enjoyed it. Beautiful area and nice luxury hotel. Close to everything without being right on top of it.

I'm considering an overnight at this hotel and wonder if anyone here has had recent experience.
I am more interested in the hotel than the restaurant; we will probably seek out a rustic seafood place for dinner. Recommendations for that would also be most welcome..thanks!

I stayed there a couple years ago and it's very nice. Rooms with a water view are the best. It's a good location right near the downtown of St. Michaels. I believe I read that it changed ownership. Orient Express used to own it, but not sure if that is still the case. Can't help on the food as I've never had anything in St, Michael's that is worth recommending. Be great to hear if you discover some place with great food.

We stayed at the Inn last fall . . very comfortable hotel. We only had breakfasts there once and did not use the dining room at all.

Most of the time we ate at the Crab Claw:

Really good seafood! . . the rest of the time we ate at whatever place we stumbled upon in town

Thanks to you both! I do see that they are no longer Orient Express, but it sounds like a lovely spot; we only have one night in any case.

I have the Crab Claw on my radar for dinner!

Wasn't that where they filmed one of the weddings for the Wedding Crashers?
