Follow-up - went in at 4:00 and had no wait. We really enjoyed the show and admired the effort the curating must have required - so many sources of artwork needing to be coordinated.
Dinner at the Steelhead was good; starters included fried chicken spring rolls (very good)and beet tartare (outstanding); entrees included the vegetarian pasta (okay), Kasu black cod (very good), oyster poor-boy (excellent) and fish and chips (very good.) Chocolate mousse for dessert.
Expensive. Not too sure we would go back unless we had another gift certificate (which we had last night.)

Follow-up follow-up...
And we had to go back to the market this morning to meet some relatives who insisted on having brunch at Etta's.
My hearing should recover by tomorrow, my wallet may take a little longer. I
Etta's.
Not.
Lots of humanity at the Pike Market this morning. LOTS.

Yah, what IS it with noisy restaurants these days.
Is it just Seattle?
Lola's, Black Bottle, 22 Doors, some of the newer bars & cafes around I can't even go into because the noise level is so high. You have to shout to have a conversation (I guess that's why it's so noisy -haha).

Seems to be a problem with LOTS of restaurants. Come to think of it, it's hard to think of ones that are really quiet and peaceful except perhaps Geoghian Room at the Four Seasons and Canlis. Can you think of others? I used to like Cutters, but oh boy, is that noisy!
