What would you do in Seattle

We will only be in Seattle for 1/2 day on Saturday and will be at the baseball game most of Sunday afternoon, leaving Monday a.m for the train to Vancouver. Besides Pike Street Marketplace, what would you visit. Thought I wanted to see the Experience Music Project, but I think I have changed my mind. Now wondering about the zoo, aquarium or...? I know it might be personal preference thing - but I am in a quandary. Thanks.

The aquarium is a great idea... we also enjoy visiting the Seattle Art Museum. Have not been to the zoo... next time!

This coming (Labor Day) weekend? If so, consult the several other threads regarding Bumbershoot, rainy day passtimes, etc. Topic covered extensively. Note the EMP (with new Science Fiction Museum appendage) is located at Seattle Center, which will be full of hundreds of thousands of people Bumbering.

Check out the wonderful Museum of Flight at Boeing Field. The zoo is an excellent idea. Save your aquarium dollars for the one in Vancouver - one of the best in N. America.

Or give into the vibe and go to Bumbershoot. 300,000 people can't all be wrong.

Connette: Who is "we" and what are your ages and interests? Are you looking for indoor or outdoor activities? Give a little more information, and you will get a lot of help.

Just curious, what made you change your mind about visiting the EMP?

We took a ferry to Vashon Island in the Sound on our last visit and loved it. Also, the Locks were need and the park around them was very nice.

How about Teatro Zinzanni? www.teatrozinzanni.com We almost flew to Seattle this coming weekend for a birthday celebration, but decided on the Carmel/Big Sur, CA area instead.

I've been to the aquarium, it was fun. I thought I would be disappointed because of the Monterey one we have here, but it ended up to be a really fun way to spend a couple of hours.

The Space Needle is fun, no more monorail rides, tho. I would definitely take a ferry ride to Bainbridge if you haven't done that yet. We had four days in Seattle and it still wasn't enough for us! ***kim***

Boy you guys are great. All of these replies already! Sorry for not giving more info. It will be the weekend of 9-19. We are about 50, but act like children most of the time. I guess I changed my mind about EMP, because of all I have read on here. There have been some that liked it, but it sounds like a giant Hard Rock and I probably would not want to play instruments. Sounds pretty busy on weekends. Thought of the flight museum too. We are zoo and aquarium and art museum addicts. Sorry to be missing Van Gogh. Wish we had more time to see it all.
