I'm Jinxed!!
I must be. On September 6, I was scheduled to return to NYC from Bermuda, when Hurricane Fabian hit and we were stranded for 5 days. Now, on December 6, I'm in SF and am scheduled to return to NYC, and again have been blindsided by a blizzard this time. I will never travel on the 6th again.

You mean we got buried in snow because of you??? This is your fault???
Then you come dry Pup off every time he comes in from playing in the snow! He thinks it is just grand, but I don't!
Florida is looking better and better~
I hope next trip works out (try traveling on the 13th)

A year ago yesterday we were supposed to fly out to Aruba and of course we were delayed in Charlotte.
Driving today instead of flying.
Between the thunderstorms in the summer and blizzards of the winter, hurricanes in the fall, is east coast weather ever safe?

We were supposed to fly to Atlanta to see our only grandchild go meet Santa for the first time since she's been old enough to appreciate St. Nick (re: "Santa is my friend"). While I'm pretty sure the friendship would have died fairly quickly since it's easy to talk-the-talk, the weather stopped us from getting to see the experience. I feel badly for us, but am also sure there are a lot of other people out there with much worse problems that ours. Good luck getting to your destinations, folks!!

almesq you selfish b%^$#%.... because of your poor planning, I've been shoveling for hours with no end in site. It's dropping at three inches an hour. With 2 bad 6's I wouldn't risk the 3rd --- 666! Hopefully we'll have all the cleanup done for your return. Breaks over, I'm heading back out!

sigh. We actually had a DC area Fodor's group luncheon cancelled today due to snow. But it is kind of nice to sit at home tonight and watch a movie (last night we saw Pirates of the Caribbean-- tonight it will probably be Bend it Like Beckham. The snow outside is pretty. I just hope it's cleared up enough so I can get out tomorrow and get the shopping done. Glad I'm not traveling anywhere, though. Good luck to those of you who are stranded.

Oh almesq, poor thing
Oh well, I would rather be stranded in SF than in Newark!
Actually, we are stranded here at home, too cold, snowy, and windy to go out. Even Pup stands at the door and looks pitiful, asking if he reeeally has to go out there! It has ceased to be fun!
Imagine my dread...we are moving and driving South in January!! What if it snows???
