Is this a good hotel? Anyone stayed there recently. What can you tell me about it?

I haven't stayed at the W in SF, but the location is good and the neighborhood is safe. You are right across from the Moscone center and within walking distance to Union Square and all the shopping that surrounds it. Enjoy!

I like the W. It is very "hip," but SF hotels do "hip" well. Very comfortable beds, nice showers, good location.

I only got to see the lobby and 2nd floor area a couple of years ago and from what I saw--very chic, very hip, very beautiful. From our hotel window I could see what appeared to be a sculpture above the entry of someone sleeping. Enjoy!

we are not parking as we have no car. So that is not an issue.
