Hyatt Regency in Waikik

Anyone staid there or know the hotel well. Is this a good place to stay (plus/minus). What should I know staying there?

Never stayed there, but it is in a good location. My daughter stayed there for a couple of nights and said it was nice.

It is right across the street (Kalakaua Ave.) from the beach with no hotels on the beach side of the street in front of the Hyatt. The view is unobstucted to Diamond Head. The view to the west will be somewhat blocked by the hotels on the beach side of Kalakaua to the west of the Hyatt.

I live on Oahu, but if I was visiting, the Hyatt would be one of my choices.

I stayed there many years ago. The location is great. Our room was really nice as I recall...we had a partial ocean view..I remember laughning about it..if you went out on the deck and leaned out...voila..there it was!!!!! LOL I really don't think you would be unhappy there.

My family and I stayed at the Hyatt Regency in March for 3-nights. We are staying at the Hyatt again for 4-nights at the end of this month. We really loved this hotel. The best part is the LOCATION. The beach is literally across the street. dusty57438 is right that their is not any obstructions in front of the hotel. There is also many of the ABC stores throughout the hotel. Also, you will probably encounter a lot of Japanese tourists also staying at the Hyatt. I hope this helps you out.

We stayed for 6 nights in March. It was a great hotel. I would highly recommend it. The staff was very friendly, and the room was awesome. I would recommend the Regency Club rooms. The staff in the Regency Club were great with recommendations, etc.
The location was nice, because it was right across the street from the beach. I hope this helps. Have a great trip.

Do the Regency rooms come with a full breakfast and afternoon snacks and drinks?

Some "club" level rooms only come with a continental breakfast which is mainly danish, juice, cereal and coffee. Yet, other, especially international continental breakfasts are much more.

I stayed there for a week in May and thought the hotel was very well staffed and operated. Our room was ocean view with a small balcony. I would definitely recommend it.

We stayed on a high floor in the Diamond Head Tower, ocean front, on the Sunshine package. Great buffet breakfast was included every morning on their patio overlooking the beach. Could see Diamond Head to the left, the ocean in front and to the right the lights of Waikiki. Excellent Spa at Hyatt, too.
