Suzie (and belle!), SmilingNonTraveler = Leone = Joe = Blacktie = TravelLaughter = TravelFirst = TravelsFirst = TravelsActually = evenrudemtr = Sobehappy....

This poster has no personal experiences, just grudges against some of those posting on Fodor's (one person in particular who is associated with Hyatt - who is not even on this thread BTW) and as far as I know has never posted a trip report....of course how would we know since he changes his name every week anyhow? Ignore!

Hi we just ove Kauai and by some chance we had a wonderful experience at the Hyatt there. When we got there we were upgraded to a 1 bedroom suite with our children ages 17 and 12. Double balcony beautiful oceanview. Nothing could compare. Pools are wonderful as well as the grounds. The beach was a little rough not really for swimming. We went in August last year. The room we were upgraded to made a world of difference and had we just got the garden view room we paid for the impression made not have been as grand. Haven't stayed at the Maui Hyatt, but the person who said there are alot of really nice resorts in Maui is right. we stayed at the Kea Lani Resort again a l bedroom suite, adults only pool was great and the grounds were beautiful. The four seasons and Grand Waliea hotels also looked nice as we walked through their properties. South Maui is much nicer and if you want a fancy hotel stay on this part of the island. It seems like all the other chain hotels are in west Maui the Marriott, hyatt and Westin all well known but maybe not as fancy as the others in South Maui.
