Thanks everyone for your thoughts. I just telephone a pool supervisor and he said that the pool is heated to 78-80 degrees. I also called the corporate offices and they too said the pools are heated. So it looks like they ARE heated?
Also, is the lavatube slide big enough to sit up in, or must you lay down to ride in it? Thank you!

In March 2003 we stayed at both the Sheraton Maui and the Hyatt Maui. The Sheraton pool was cold, not bad for the kids but I could only stay in for a little while. We were there 2 nights then moved over to the Hyatt (we had been bumped out of Hyatt as they were oversold but they made it up in many ways$$$)The pool at they Hyatt was an excellent temperature, not too cold to be unswimmable but not too warm so that it was still refreshing. You will love that pool, it is awesome. Be sure to find the secret cave they use to teach scuba with, it is so cool!
