How did miss this post! I have never felt put off by anyone when asking questions here, I value this board for the personalized and entertaining advice. I feel like I know some of these folks.(never been to a get together) I read the K-club stuff for a laugh. I apologize to anyone whose thread I have ever hijacked. And now I feel the need to revise a soon to be posted trip report so it does not appear that I want to be part of a clique! When I first started snooping around here a couple of years ago I thought it was cool that there were regulars who always seemed ready to share their knowledge, and I never was put off by the banter. I have always tried to answer posters questions when I felt I had valuble info. I don't just hang out here to babble about Hawaii, my last question was related to a business flight to No Carolina...got five helpful answers in less than 24 hours.I have answered questions about Polish restaurants in Chicago so I hope I am not guilty of ignoring serious inquiries. If I ever thought I posted a question that went unanswered I would re-post it and "rag" on the hijackers!!!

I'm a newbie to this forum. In fact, my first post, in September, was about Kauai and I'm still receiving very helpful information. The regular Kauai Klubbers and others have not only been extremely helpful, but they've been great fun too and have made this newbie feel very welcome on the Fodor's forum.

Im a newbie to fodors too but am going to Kauai in 5 days now and have been searching for all the info I could get my hands on. I have found these so called jr high groupies to be wonderfully helpfull to me and I love thier humor!! They make it easy to take what you want from the info and leave the rest, they are just having fun for goodness sake. Why make such a big deal out of it? Who cares? A nurse should have a better sense of humor.I like this site and these people have given me some great ideas and I cant wait to get over there and check it out!!!

Happy 9th anniversary of this thread!
and we have gone back every year since this post, sometimes twice a year and put up with the bad traffic, rain, roosters, being too dark with no night life, unfriendly servers and roach infested rental cars....and loved every second of it.
69 more days...how appropriate....

Well hellooooo Ms. Scarlett!
And remember how a professional food reviewer like MelissaHI likes my sausage too!
BTW...for those of you that don't know the REST of the story,, Calinurse and I buried the hatchet and became friends shortly after this.
She was a FB friend, too, until recently. We hope she is OK. [-o
