Hotels in Ogunquit

We found a few hotels to stay at in Ogunquit for the end of June/July4th and were wondering if anyone could let us know if they were nice and worth staying at: Terrace by the Sea, Juniper Hill Inn, Hartwell House, and The Grant Hotel. Or do you have any other suggestions? We would like a pool and a view possibly of the ocean/harbor. Thanks in advance for your input!

Greetings!
Sorry I can't vouch for any of your preliminary picks. Just wanted to recommend one I've have first-hand experience with: Spar Hawk Inn. Does have ocean views and a pool. Great location downtown near Marginal Way entrance. Best wishes for 4th of July fun and better weather!

The Anchorage has an indoor pool and is right on Marginal Way (the pedestian walk along the coast.) I'm not familiar with the hotels you mentioned. Just be sure they're not on Route 1 if scenery/view is important to you. Not that it means they wouldn't be nice, but rather that Route 1 is the main drag through the area; the traffic is horrendous; and it's definitely not scenic. (Actually, I think Juniper Hill Inn is one of the ones on Route 1.) If you get the address for the Anchorage -- even if you're not interested in it, you'll know what road would be better. I believe the Spar Hawk that another poster mentioned is next door. I think that's really nice -- outdoor pool 'though.
Just looked up the website for the Anchorage. It says Shore Road -- http://www.anchoragebythesea.com/
Make sure you're booking in Ogunquit, if you do book the Anchorage -- there's one in nearby York Beach and one along Route 95 in Portsmouth, NH.

Terrace by the Sea has a very good location--on the tidal river, short walk to the beach, very close to town. Juniper Hill looks nice but is on Route 1 (busy and not as scenic as closer to the water). Hartwell House is close to Perkins Cover, good location, rooms are supposed to be very nice, not regular motel issuance. It's not on the water but I would give it high marks. The Grand Hotel is a bigger place which I've never been able to figure out---I think all the rooms look inward ( I could be wrong.) Of your choices, I would go for Terrace by the Sea for location or Hartwell House for ambiance. Would also second the other recommendations for Sparhawk and Beachmere.

We had a wonderful experience at Terrace by the Sea. It's located on Wharf Lane, just off Shore Road, and a short walk from Route 1. Perkins Cove is a bit of a walk, but the trolley runs during the nice weather. Views are lovely from the rooms (which are beautiful and well-appointed), it's close to a beach. A nice contintental breakfast is served in a charming breakfast room or at tables on the wrap around porch. Landscaping is gorgeous and there are comfortable lounge chairs spaced about the sloping lawn.

The rooms at the Anchorage are standard motel from what I can remember, but the grounds are very pretty. There's an indoor pool (maybe outdoors, too), hot tub also, I believe.
There are chairs set up on the lawn that overlook the cliff walk and the ocean. You can see the beach off in the distance. Enjoy!
