Anchorage vs. Juniper Hill in Ogunguit

It has been difficult at this late date to book hotels for 3 of us in Maine for August. Does anyone have any recent experience with The Anchorage (tower section) or Juniper Hill in Ogunquit? Quality of rooms and location are of primary importance. Thanks

I think they were rooms with two double beds. In the Anchorage they only had room in the tower.

Well Anchorage is perhaps the biggest resort with a pool and ocean view, Juniper Hill, haven't stayed there, but a fine destination. Have you checked out Seachambers.com.........mrlou and I run to this place whenever we can find a night available.....not to swanky, but a fabulous greek island style pool and 5'O is a great restaurant across the street. Also sparhawk.com....nicer but most likely booked!

The Anchorage is your best bet if available. Try Sparhawk or Beachmere Inn in the same area and on the water. Across Shore Rd., from the others, is the Pink Blossom Resort, Sea Castles, and Hartwell's. Juniper Hill is on crowded Rt. 1 w/a short walk to town and the beach, but very nice.
There are several B&Bs in town, close to or on the water...check out the Ogunquit Chamber of Commerce website.
