hotel suggestion

On the spur of the moment I have decided to take our Turkish exchange student to NYC on the 22 and 23. Does anyone have any suggestions where to stay, reasonable for NYC... A suite hotel would be great as we have 2 sons and then probably a room for her. thank you!

If you title your post with New York in it, people will be more apt to reply. Your subject line doesn't say where you want to book a hotel.

If you want a suite check out the following:

Affiia group of allsuite hotels
Embassy Suites (downtown)
Doubletree Suites (midtown)
Salisbury (midtown)

It looks like you may be able to get a decent deal at the Eastgate Tower or Shelburne Murray Hill.
Both are Affinia properties.
They are great... they have kitchens and plenty of room.
Have fun!

If you can manage with a 1 bedroom suite with 2 beds in the bedroom (they're usually doubles or queens) and a sofabed in the living, the price of the Shelburne Murray Hill looks great ($279/night). It's a nice hotel. Problem is that only gives you 1 bathroom. I think the prices on the Affinia website for a 2 bedroom are too high. They show no availability for a 2 bedroom at the Shelburne, but on quikbook.com, the Shelburne is coming up at $544/night for a 2 bedroom suite for 5-6 people.

You can get 2 regular rooms for all of you elsewhere for less. For example, the Hilton Garden Inn has a room with 2 queen beds for $279 and 1 queen or king for $209. (on the Hilton.com website)

If you want to consider a regular apartment, you might contact furnishedquarters.com or oakwood.com Not sure they do weekend rentals for larger apts, but worth a try.

I took the advice and went to a NYC posting, it worked great, got good ideas and ended up with a one bedroom suite at the Shelburne MUrray hill
