That's, "for 1 night".

By PHX, do you mean Sky Harbor Airport? If so, I'd recommend the Wyndham Buttes (Very convenient to the airport). It is perched on a hill and has great views of the city. You could also try the Doubletree or the Marriott (Both on 44th St and within 2 miles of the airport). I believe all of these properties have free airport shuttles. If you are not staying near the airport you need to say what part of the city you require as greater Phoenix is huge.

Went to Phoenix in November and stayed first night and last night of our trip at the Airport Hilton. Got it on Priceline for $28 per night. It's nothing fancy but certainly good value for the money. If you're just looking for something close to the airport and either have a car or don't need to venture out anywhere, it would fit the bill. They have a bar and restaurant on site, as well as an Alamo car rental. They also have an airport shuttle. The room we had was large and we were treated very well. Not a luxury resort but we had a pleasant stay and it was very convenient to the airport.
