Hotel near Carson and Union Station

Need one night close to son in Carson and not too far from Union Station. what are your thoughts on Ramada Limited Redondo Beach, Torrance Marriot and Hilton South Bay. Also how early do we need to arrive at Union Station to get the Pacific Surfliner around 2 on a Sunday Afternoon. As always thanks for your help.

To board Amtrak it's usually from 60 to 30 minutes, depends if you're in coach or a sleeper, checking luggage in or not.

What about the Long Beach airport Marriott? Very close to Carson and it's about 20 miles to downtown Los Angeles.

There is some space in the front of the car for luggage if you want to have it with you. Or you can check it in for free. Your choice.

No to the Ramada Limited in Redondo. I would shoot for something in Manhattan Beach, as that would put you closer to the freeway than Torrance or Redondo. The Manhattan Beach Marriott, the Ayres Hotel, the Belamar, Springhill Suites or TownPlace Suites are all good choices.

The Torrance Marriott just underwent a large renovation, so is supposed to be very nice right now, but I would still stay in the MB area.
