Hotel in Washington, DC

All the requests for hotel info seem to have been by families with children. We're child free for three nights! Any suggestions for somewhere special?

Any of the boutique hotels. The Kimpton group has a number of hotels in town (Monaco, Medera, Palomar, Helix) that seem perfect.

All good suggestions above (especially the Monaco). I would add Topaz and the Tabard Inn for small, less expensive, options.

We are always looking for a bargain, and the last good one we had was at Jury's, Dupont Circle.

This weekend we will be at the Westin Embassy Row, through Priceline. I'll report.

We did once stay in a Kimpton Group hotel in SF, through a family discount. It was very nice.

Hotel Monaco has a great location for sightseeing; it is btwn the Natl. Mall and the newly renovated area of Penn Quarter, MCI Center, and Chinatown, so you have many options for eating and entertainment at night in close walking distance. That's where I would stay. I live in D.C. area and in the past year everyone who comes from out of town to work w/me stays there.

Klimpton has a nice way of making you feel welcome and realxed at their smaller and intimate hotels.
