Hotel blankets encased in sheets

First time we experienced this was in Ojai yesterday at the Best Western Casa Ojai. It felt so clean. The manager at the hotel told me the guests love it. Apparently, they started it a couple of yrs back when a frequent guest requested it. Are other people finding this to be a trend when they stay in American hotels? I'm sure it costs the hotels more in laundry, but it is very, very nice!

Depends on the brand. The one I'm most familiar with has used it for a couple of decades. They've got a nice feel, don't they! See...now you won't be able to back.

Isn't that what is referred to as triple sheeting? Yes, love it.

Yes--triple sheeting. Always a welcome sight. I wish it would become the industry standard.

Totally agree. Not knowing how long it's been since the blanket has been washed, I always hesitate pulling it up around my face. But, with triple sheeting...no problem!

Triple sheeting has been the standard in my experience of working and staying in hotels my entire life.
Some hotels have cut back to double sheeting to save on laundry costs.
Many now are also asking if it is ok not to change all the linens daily.
You know, save the planet.

Although I always love fresh bedlinens every night if I have a choice between triple sheeting or having the linens changed every day I vote for triple sheeting. Some people do that in their homes also.
