Your post really brought back some memories to me! I ran the Honolulu Marathon in 1982 and it was wonderful. The support is incredible. Have fun!

I've decide to run my first marathon in Hawaii if I can find some good prices!! (flight/hotel/car). Wish me luck!

The official travel partner of the marathon in Honolulu is Pleasant Holidays. I used them one year and got a good deal for a hotel/flight package. If you're doing the Honolulu race, you might just rent a car for a few days, as hotels charge quite a bit to park and there are days where you do not need it.
Anyway, try pleasantholidays.com or honolulumarathon.org and look at the travel section.
