The lodge and spa at Breckenridge is a wonderful place to stay. They are located up on a bluff outside of town, but have a free shuttle to drive you whenever you want to go. Enjoy your trip! I was up there this weekend and it was lovely!

The lodge and spa is different than Valdoro, correct? Did you see Valdoro and if so any input would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi Gretchen, have only been in the lobby not any othe rooms. looks very nice. great location. If your not sold on Breck you might also look at Vail for more upscale accomodations.

Kima,
I have also looked at sonnenalp in vail. I have a 2 bedroom suite at valdoro lodge for about $275 p/nite (I am a Hilton Diamond member and was upgraded with a guarantee unbelievably) but think I would be happier at the Sonnenalp but would have a much smaller room. Can't decide between the two options. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks for your help so far.

Gretchen, Vail any day of the week! Much better resturants and accomodations. Great hiking, biking, tennis, golf, spas. Breck is OK but really just block after block of t-shirt and real estate stores.

If you choose vail, eat dinner at Sweet Basils!
