Hilton Hawaiian Village Pool Rules

Hope this question isn't too narrow. I'm staying at the HHV in March. The friend I'm visiting has two children and they would love to swim in the Paradise Pool one day. Does anyone know if this would be a problem? Also i've read on reviews for this place the pool chairs are difficult to get after the early morning. Has anybody stayed there in the last few years that could comment on the chair issue?

Thanks!

This pool has only been open since last February. Chairs are hard to get, but if you ask the pool guys, they will often remove towels that have been left to "reserve" empty seats. The pool is pretty popular now though.

Are the friend staying in HHv? To get a wristband, you must be a registered guest. Kids have to be 3 feet tall as well.

We stayed at the HHV for a week in December. All pools open at 8am and there was a line up at all pools starting at 7:50. People reserved chairs with magazines and/or towels and then took off until later in the day. Very annoying but I think many big resorts are like that. If your friend's children are not staying at the resort, I would not risk bringing them into the pool area - could be embarrassing for them if they get "caught". The lagoon is a great place for kids to play and swim and anyone can hang out there.

Does HHV offer day passes? I think that's what you'd need to have non-guests use the resort facilities.

Can you just tell the hotel you have two children staying with you, and get two more wristbands for the pool?
