Hillcrest Inn, Seaside, OR

Booked this place for a night in July. Any comments? It seems more quaint than the franchise establishments.

Basically need it just to sleep. Staying with a family with 2 small children.

Actually wanted to stay at Cannon Beach but only need one night. There is a 2 night minimum during the summer season.

Can't say for sure, but I don't think you're in trouble, willy. I've never stayed there, though I know I've been by it. Just can't retrieve the mental image of the place. It's in a decent part of town, a couple blocks from the main drag, which your kids will probably like.

Did you try the Blue Gull Inn in Cannon Beach? http://www.innathaystackrock.com/bluegull.php

We stayed there in 06 and liked it. It is kind of quaint, and was very clean and comfortable. The staff were nice and helpful. Here are some photos (I didn't think to take a photo of the inside of the room before we unpacked and then it seemed too messy, lol). http://worldisround.com/articles/324970/index.html
