Hey Suze: Seattle ??

1. How is the walk from Space Needle to Sculpture Gardens?

2. Likewise the walk from Mayflower Park to Pioneer Square?

3. A friend just raves over Metropolitan Grill, ate there twice over a weekend. Is it that good?

4. Finally, can you make the glorious weather you seem to be having now last thru next weekend?

Thanks in advance

hello mcheryl~
4. actually it's overcast now today, Sunday, sorry.
3. funny i used to work at the Met Grill (it was called Malia's back then) and yes it is a very good restaurant. a tad expensive to eat there twice though.
2. it would take you ~20 mins from Mayflower Park hotel to hike on down to Pioneer Square area. or you could catch a bus (Free Ride Zone) for part of the trip going sound along 3rd, 2nd, or 1st Avenues.
1. don't know, as a local, of course i haven't made it to the new sculputre gardens yet -lol!

It's only about a 10-15 min walk from the space needle to the sculpture gardens

We are going to see Young Frankenstein at the Paramount in a couple of weeks, and plan to take in the Sculpture Garden then too. I'll post a report!

I can vouch for the steak at the Metropolitan Grill, but supposedly Ruth Chris' is better. Haven't eaten there though.

If you have access to a car, try one of the JaK's Grill locations (W. Seattle, Laurelhurst) for really good steaks at a fraction of the others' prices. Also Daniel's Broiler (waterfront locations on Lake Union and Lake Washington/Leschi) is excellent at a lower price.

Between the first two mentioned, I'd pick the Met because it is a "real Seattle" restaurant. Ruth Chris' is a chain.
