Help with Palm Springs-looking for romantic hotel on a budget

Hi All,

Looking for a Palm Springs hotel. I'm traveling in June. Yes, I know it's hot, but I'm going for a wedding, so the date was chosen for me.

It's just my husband and I traveling so I'd like someplace with a little romantic feel. A hotel/resort where you wouldn't mind just lounging by the pool, on your personal patio or in a hammock in the shade somewhere. Or someplace with a good spa on site or a nice place on site to get a massage.

Anything like this I can get for under $300 a night? Since I'm traveling in June, the rates are significantly lower.

Thanks!
Debbie

Over your budget, but well worth it.

We stayed at the Andalusian Court last trip. Each room is different. We were in #4, which has an outdoor bathtub, several outdoor seating areas and a fire pit, so lots of options for relaxing outside. Book directly with the hotel for the best price.

Although you'd think rates would be really low in June, it is actually a popular time especially on the weekends, since the worst summer weather hasn't hit yet.

One issue with any of the affordable lodgings in the summer is that if there is one pool, it will could be filled with screaming kids and/or party animals. (Especially if they are selling pool access) I think Casa Cody has two pools, if it's available should be alright and within budget if you want to be in PS. I would call and book direct so you can ask if they maintain one of the pools as a "quiet pool" assuming that's what you want.

Down Valley (eg Indian Wells, La Quinta) and also mid-Valley (Rancho Mirage, Palm Desert) there are some big condo and timeshare complexes with multiple pools if you want to go that route. I used to "pool shop" to find a quiet one at La Quinta Resort after I sold my condo. The Starlight Casitas are nice but not near the pools. I have never thought the service was any good at that place and prefer the Hyatt in Indian Wells (big rooms and a nice spa). Barely within budget I think on a weekend by the time you add in all the extra fees.

I would try to grab something if you are talking a weekend in wedding season.
