HELP! Oakland airport to downtown SF

I just lost my ride and am wondering if there is an alternative to taking a $50 cab ride from the airport to Union Square? I'm flying tomorrow on JetBlue, can anyone help, quickly?

Walk out the terminal and go to the 2nd or 3rd lane (I forget) and take the BART Bus to the BART Station ($1-2). Take the BART to San Francisco ($4-6) and exit at Powell Street. You will be 2 blocks from Union Square.

Take the BART.
When you walk out of the airport there will be a place to wait for a shuttle that goes to the Oakland Coliseum station. I believe it's $2 or something like that. Then buy a ticket for the station you want to go to (Powell since you said Union Sqaure). Prices will be posted on the ticket machines. Then go to the appropriate platform and wait for the SF line.

Hi nina, you are in luck. It was just reported the other day that the signs where you catch the BART Shuttle Bus that takes you to the BART Coliseum Station have been installed. Wonders never cease, LOL. You will find this very easy to do. I even had friends from Italy do this when they flew in on JetBlue and they were amazed how well it worked.

LoveItaly, going to Chicago I had to walk around a bit to find the AirTran stop. They were making some improvements... while inconveniencing us, travelers! Lucky me, it was not the 1st time I was there.

I suspect that there is also shuttle service available, which would be somewhere between the cost of a taxi and BART.
