Emeryville Train Station

What is the best and /or most economic way to get from san Francisco city to the Emeryville station to take the Starlight train up/down the coast?

Ray,

Amtrak has a shuttle to the Emeryville station that leaves from both the ferry building and the Caltrain Station in San Francisco.

When you made reservations for Starlight you should've mentioned you're leaving from SF not Emy to get the bus transfer included. Amtrak round-trip ticket SF-EMY if bought separately is $8. The bus has several pick up/drop off points. In addition to David's: Fishermans Wharf and Market@5th. AC transit buses run from SF to Emeryville, from the Mission@1st terminal.

Last time Iwas catching the bus from the SF Shopping center on Market, a girl was there with no ticket (to the station). They let her on the bus.I would call and arrange it ahead of time as it REALLY is the easiest most economical way to make your connection.
