Help leaving in a few hours!!!
Help! I am leaving in a few hours for NYC! Which is good, I am ready, I am 29 and I am going with my friend who is a few years older, we are staying at the Park Central in midtown, and we have good plans. But the Help part is we want to go out one eve. and I have read posts and still feel unsure of where to go. We would like to have a few drinks and listen to live music, not some club with gyrating 20 somethings (that is fine for some, but not what we are up for). Face it we are mellow. Any good ideas for a place to sit back listen to good music and have a few drinks. We will be there till Monday!! Jazz, blues, rock we don't care the type!

queenbee,
Here are a couple of links that should be helpful. I have heard good things about Zanzibar, so you may want to consider it.
Hope this helps.

Pick up a copy of the New Yorker magazine, which will have a good listing of who's appearing in what club. As far as i know, the legendary Les Paul is still appearing every Monday night at one of the jazz clubs.
