Helicopter in Kauai or Hilo?

Unless there is a significant lava event, I would choose Kauai.
You might also consider tryke if you can afford the 90 minute flight. Pricey but a lifetime experience. I've done 4 flights between kauai and maui and its a blast. The shorter flights won't allow you to see everything you would in a helicopter tour.

There is now another company in Kauai that is doing the Tryke or Powered Hanggliding. The name of it is Big Sky. I haven't done it with them or Birds In Paradise, but I plan on doing it next year.
