Helicopter in Kauai or Hilo?

We are going to Hawaii in June and want to do a helicopter ride. Does anyone have any insight on which of the two islands I should do it (Kauai and The Big Island)?

Unless there is a significant lava event, I would choose Kauai.

You might also consider tryke if you can afford the 90 minute flight. Pricey but a lifetime experience. I've done 4 flights between kauai and maui and its a blast. The shorter flights won't allow you to see everything you would in a helicopter tour.

I second the helicopter tour of Kauai!

I think Kauai is more geographically interesting than Hilo. I would also go with Kauai.

We went on a helicopter tour ride at Maui that was outstanding.

There is now another company in Kauai that is doing the Tryke or Powered Hanggliding. The name of it is Big Sky. I haven't done it with them or Birds In Paradise, but I plan on doing it next year.
