To Texas girl: How about a trip report, esp. for the restaurants? We will be in Kona later this summer. Have a great time and if I may suggest try to have a meal or a drink at the terrace restaurant at the Princeville in Kauai. The view of the mountains and waterfalls in the background will knock your socks off. Cheers and aloha, Larry

I'll post my vote for Huggos! My husband and I celebrated there last November! It is a lovely, seaside (makai side to locals) restaurant with impeccable service, excellent and creative menu, including wonderful tropical drinks and views to die for! Be sure to make a reservation, to ensure a romantic table with the best view and have a wonderful trip and an happy anniversary!
P.S. There is a little lei shop outside Huggos in the parking area, so you can buy your sweetheart a beautiful lei for the occassion! By the way, Huggos is on Alii Drive, the main road that goes through Kailua-Kona town. You can take a stroll after dinner and shop or just enjoy sitting along the seawall somewhere!
