Havana Nights in Las Vegas
Hi,
No comments on this show via the Search function. From what I understand, Havana Nights is a S&R produced show at the Stardust. Or is it a nightclub? Has anybody been? Any reviews?
Thanks in advance for any help!

I haven't been (yet), but local newspapers seemed to like the show. It sounds like a fun way to spend an evening and the entertainers are from Cuba, so it has a spot of authenticity.
Travelinwifey- I'm looking forward to your review, too!

I have seen Havana Nights (actual name is Havana Night Club) twice at the Stardust and it is very good. The cast is a very high energy, good looking group of people who will impress you with their dancing I am sure. The actual show is performed in what was the Wayne Newton Theater (Wayne has moved elsewhere) at the Stardust. It's one of the old kind of theaters, i.e. tables/booths rather then theater seating but there really is not a bad seat since the theater is small-ish. I would recommend a booth if you have time to order in advance. The show is very entertaining, even if you are not a fan of Cuban/Latin music it is fun to watch. The show is presented by Siegfried & Roy but Nicole Durr is the mastermind behind the actual show. I've had the pleasure of meeting Nicole and she, like the cast, is high energy. If you have a chance, see HN. The show runs till 9/8/05 at Stardust. Not sure where it goes next.

We went to the show last night but unfortunately did not enjoy it as much as Lori. If you do decide to see the show DEFINITELY buy your tickets at the half price ticket booth before hand, if you pay $77 for this show I think you will be severely disappointed. Also if you see the show mid week purchase the lowest tiered tickets through the 1/2 price tickets as our show (tues night) was half full and patrons were allowed to move around as soon as the lights went down. With the 2 for one deal we paid $38pp as opposed to the $76. Our original seats were crammed in like sardines in the 2nd table from the stage and we moved to a booth.
The show itself, the first 20 minutes were more african type music, we were expecting the entire show to be mambo and flamenco, perhaps our mistake. We left after an hour. This is our opinion only, others may be very happy with it
Perhaps we are spoiled after viewing LV's top entertainment but the set just seemed run down for us at the price. Have a great time whatever you choose

Well, that's a bummer! Thank goodness you had the 2 for 1 coupon... Sounds like it followed a historical perspective with the "roots" of latin music, but not particularly well done.
Is it generally accepted to move your seats closer ( if available ) at all Vegas shows?
(Gosh, maybe I shouldn't ask... We'll probably get lectured by the Opinion Police.)
At any rate, thank you so much for posting your first-hand report. It's really helpful.
