Is this a good deal for LA to Kauai?

Right now the cheapest tickets I could find for Sept. 2 thru Sept. 7th are $563.00 round trip on Pandaonline.
If we move the trip back one week (not a problem) and go Aug. 26th thru Aug. 31st then it's only $491.00 round trip. I was hoping to get a cheaper price but with fuel being so expensive, does anyone think it's possible to get a cheaper price than $491.00 or should I wait another month and watch for sales?

Hi, I was wondering the same thing... because Sep is actually a much slower time of year.I called a travel agent and they advised me that the Sep deals should come out int he first 2 weeks on July and that I should wait to buy my tickets.... to me $563 is too high. P

Aloha sent email the other day
"Fall sale"
These special fares are valid for travel from August 22 through October 12, 2005.
Fares must be ticketed by 6pm HST on June 24th.

You might need to join their FF club (free).

Hawaiian may match them.

$563 seems high considering I've purchased roundtrip non-stop flights from Chicago for $400. I would wait, keep checking the rates every day. I've gotten the best deals about 6-8 weeks prior to departure. The AAA website allows you to check flexible dates, which is handy since some sales are only valid on M-TH departures.

Check with charter flight companies and with the air wholesalers. There are several companies out of California that have prices in the lower $400 range....

Have a great day!
