Has anyone seen the Sheraton or Marriott Luau on Maui?

Has anyone attended either of these luaus? We can save money, because both of these luaus offer discounts, but is it even worth it? (We were considering the OLL, but decided to consider other options when we found out it was $79 for each of us (and they no longer allow any type of discount.)

Been to the Marriott one a few times only because my family enjoys it. That one is very Vegas style to me. The main guy seems like his dream was to be a Vegas singer. Other than him I enjoyed the rest.

We went to the Marriott luau [Kaanapali] last year. We enjoyed it, and had no regrets, but I wouldn't describe it as authentic. I viewed it as entertainment. What helped was the amazing sunset we had that night, which made it even more memorable, especially with the ocean in the background.

Thanks for the responses! I guess my question was really whether it was worth the extra bucks to go to the OLL versus the Sheraton or Marriott. Have either of you been to the Old Lahaina Luau?

No, that would be my next choice though.

Our room was just above the Marriott luau so we got to hear it each day it ran and we also ate twice at Va Bene (which is fabulous by the way) which is just next to the luau. I would say what I heard was a very typical luau. The banter is standard but still amusing and there is lots of celebrating of anniversaries, honeymoons and birthdays during the show. The music is pleasant and there was fire dancing.

Since my last post, I went scouring about the web and came across an interesting and informative site called "Jon's Maui Webpage". On it he describes several luaus, and says that his personal favorite is the Royal Lahaina Luau, which he describes as the perfect mix of authenticity and kitsch.
Has anyone tried this one? It has fire dancers, which I'd like to see!
