Maui Marriott luau tickets???
Our family of 4 is going to Maui over Christmas. We are staying at the Marriott.
Trying to figure how to get the best price for Luau tickets, without going to a timeshare presentation. The Marriott luau website says adult tickets are $75 and kids $35. It also says you can get 20% off throught their internet special.
Other sites ( Coconut something or other activity center ) indicate prices of $47 for adults, with kids free. They don't say anything about timeshare presentations.
Help!
What's the cheapest way to get tickets?
Should I book now for New Year's Eve?
Thanks for your help.

Please DON'T go to the Marriott Luau..........we went, and it was terrible! Such a waste of money..........the drinks were laughable (I believe they totally forgot the alcohol!) Go to the Old Lahaina Luau, if you are doing a luau on Maui. The Emcee was awful at the Marriott, and I've seen high school troups who danced better. If you're going to the Big Island, the one at Outrigger Waikoloa is MUCH better.......we really enjoyed that one!

My wife and i went to the Old Lahania Luau in July. It was very good. Same price $75.00 I would you book early and sit on the ground. You sit on pillows, so it is comfortable. It is at eye level and much more enjoyable than sitting at a table. You only need to 1 Luau.... Or you could try the Feast of Lele. Some company does it. I don't know how it is... Enjoy Hawaii and Live ALOHA...

If you're still interested and you're staying at the Marriott, you can get tickets there at a discount. At least, they offered a discount when we were there in June as Marriott guests, having nothing to do with the Time Share promotion. There is also a coupon in the Entertainment book, but in the end, that only saved $5 a person over the discount Marriott already gives there guests. And, for the record, our drinks definitely had alcohol. Our table switched to soft drinks because we were all getting a bit light headed, and we varied in age from late 20's to early 60's. The emcee was weak, but we enjoyed the entertainment, authentic or not. If you are up in the air about doing it, while you are there, you can watch the whole thing from the walkway. That will give you an idea if you want to have the food. Perhaps watching it without eating will suffice.

We were at the Marriott Luau last week and thought it was very good. I was leery myself because of some of the things I had read here but was happy we went. We purchased our tickets through Coconuts without a timeshare presentation. They will ask, just say no. They did not pressure me at all. For my wife, myself and our 15 year old they were $47 each and my 11 year old was free.
Everyone has different tastes, but we felt the food was good and while the entertainment wasn't Broadway level, it was enjoyable.

Went to Maui last week. Go to the Old Lahaina Luau. Seating is 8 people to a table instead of very long rows of people. Everything I read before going rated it #1. The only difference is they don't have fire dancers as it is not supposed to be traditionally hawaiian. Was a great show.
